HISTORY

1975-1991: University of Tulsa classmate James Millspaugh and I started our first sign company. Initially a small job shop building hand-crafted signs for small businesses, by the early 1980’s we had evolved into a more sophisticated sign contractor producing custom signage and graphics for destination resorts, healthcare facilities, and mixed-use property’s all-over North America. Many of these still have the original signs made by Eslick & Millspaugh Graphics.

1991-2018: EslickWalsh Signage Group was created in 1991 to provide design and coordination services to integrated resorts and many other types of commercial facilities. In 1993 the company was reorganized and Eslick Design was formed to provide planning, design, procurement and coordination services primarily to the U.S. gaming industry. By 2010 our clientele extended internationally to Macau, the Philippines and Australia. Past clients include Grand Casinos, Mirage Resorts, MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, Hard Rock International, Boyd Gaming, Melco Entertainment, Crown Entertainment, Wynn Resorts, and numerous Native American casino resorts.

Looking back, my experience as a sign contractor played an important part in understanding how to design signs. That experience gave us an edge. Not only not did we understand our role as the designer, we also understood the logistics, materials and fabrication processes necessary to produce the signs.

“I’ve always believed the best signs are the right balance of Science and Art.”
